This website exists to present Alta Madeira Carpintaria and to receive quote requests. We only collect the data you send us through the forms or by email, and we use it only to reply to you. The site sets no cookies.

Data we collect
We only collect the data you send us voluntarily. The site has no customer account, asks for no payment and builds no profiles.
- Quote request form (home page and Contact): name, phone or email, profile (private client, architect, builder), type of project, site location and message. The optional "add project details" fields (stage, new build or existing, area or span, type of structure or interior, state of the roof, drawings available, service required, timeframe) are only sent if you fill them in.
- Technical file form (Professionals page): name, company or practice, professional email, role and, if you wish, your current project.
- Each submission also carries the site language and the page it was sent from.
- Emails and documents you send us afterwards (drawings, photos) so we can prepare the quote.
What we use it for
To answer your request: first guidance, price range, arranging a visit, quote, sending the technical file. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it and we do not pass it on to third parties for commercial purposes. No automated decision-making.
Services we use and recipients
To run, the site relies on a few technical providers. Each one receives only what is strictly necessary.
- Form delivery — Web3Forms. Messages from both forms are transmitted by the Web3Forms service, which forwards them to our mailbox contact@altamadeira.pt. The data passes through Web3Forms servers during delivery. Web3Forms operates from India, with infrastructure at Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare and Hetzner; transfers from the EU are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. It keeps messages for at most three years and may pass the sender's IP address and email to anti-spam services (CleanTalk, Akismet). If JavaScript is disabled, the form opens your email program and nothing goes through Web3Forms.
- Mailbox — PTisp. The contact@altamadeira.pt mailbox is hosted in Portugal by PTisp. That is where your messages are kept.
- Website hosting — Vercel. The pages are served by Vercel Inc. (United States). Like any host, Vercel records technical connection data (IP address, date and time, page requested) for security and operation. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Statistics — Vercel Web Analytics. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: no cookies, no identifier stored in your browser, only aggregated data (page views, country, device type, referrer). It cannot identify a person.
- Fonts — Google Fonts. Fonts are loaded from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). When you open a page, your browser requests these files from Google, which receives your IP address.
- Photos — Supabase. The site's images are served by Supabase Storage. Your browser requests them from that server, which receives your IP address. Servers in the European Union (West EU region, Ireland).
How long we keep it
Quote requests and the emails exchanged are kept for three years from the last contact, then deleted. If a request leads to a job, contractual and invoicing documents are kept for the statutory period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may at any time request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing or request portability. Just write to contact@altamadeira.pt. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the mailbox and to the site's management tool is limited to the people who handle requests.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the site or the services it uses change. The date at the top shows the version in force.
